Lines of Research: - Digital processing of biomedical signals - Digital processing of medical images - Physiological systems modeling - Telemedicine. The projects of the group are related to applied research in the processing of medical signals and images, as well as in the training of highly skilled personnel in this area. The outcome of this research and training reveals a significant dissemination of information by the group, through publications and participation in congresses as well as the production of diverse papers in the area. Our activity is reinforced by taking advantage of fourth level courses available in our faculty in related areas like Computation, Applied Mathematics, Engineering and Biomedical Engineering. Also beneficial is the availability of a number of important publications in our periodical library. The GIBULA is an academic unit hosted at Postgrado en Ingeniería Biomédica of the Universidad de Los Andes.
